“If God is love then love for our neighbour should know no boundaries, as Gods love knows no boundaries.” (Leo the Great)
How do I become happy? This question sounds simple. Yet, we should not delude ourselves. This questions forms – consciously or unconsciously – the driving force behind all our our comings and goings.
How do I become happy?
The answer from the Gospel sounds: leave the fearful grip on yourself behind. You will open up. Then you can direct your passion and surrendering to the O/o-ther: to God and your fellow being.
That is the way of love. God is love and He moves you towards love.
Monastries wish to be ‘schools of love’: love has to be practiced concretely in every day life – every moment.
Monks learn to love step by step in accordance to the example of Jesus Christ who gave his life for his friends.
